About the database of participants The data stored in the recruitment system are used for scientific studies only. These data will not be passed on to third parties. The data will be used for the following purposes: to inform participants about the latest studies; to check the presence/absence of enrolled participants; We do keep a record of which experiments you participate in, and which sessions you sign up for but do not show up. We do not retain any linkage between your records in the registration database and any decisions you make during the experiment sessions. That is, the only information that is kept from an experiment session itself is the information you give during that session. Because this database contains private information (name, email, etc.) we must comply with some EU regulations. More specific, we must inform you that the UvA employs a Data Protection Officer (DPO) who can be contacted at fg@uva.nl in case of any questions. Participants are able to determine whether or not they receive invitations to the latest studies. At the bottom of each email invitation you find a direct link to cancel any future invitations.
